Sibrix studies bacteriophages as a highly specific tool for combating bacterial infections and antibiotic resistance. We isolate and characterize bacteriophages, build our own biobank, and develop phage solutions for research use in medicine and veterinary medicine.

Sibrix specializes in the research, isolation, and characterization of bacteriophages. We have over 5 years of practical experience working with phages and bacterial isolates and are developing our own biobank for research projects in medicine, veterinary medicine, and the fight against antibiotic resistance.

Our capabilities

We carry out genomic and phenotypic characterization of bacteriophages to assess their properties, safety, and potential for further application.

•isolation and identification of bacteriophages from various natural and biological sources;
•phenotypic and genomic characterization of phages;
•development of a biobank of bacteriophages and bacterial isolates;
•research into the activity spectrum and phage–bacterium interaction;
•development and testing of multicomponent phage cocktails;
•in vitro and in vivo studies to evaluate efficacy and stability;
•quality control and genomic safety assessment of promising bacteriophages.
